Pork Chops or Cutlets with Sage and Leeks Recipe

Creamy pork chops with leeks

A creamy and delicious way to serve pork chops or cutlets.


700g pork leg steaks, pounded and cut into serving-size portions
1 leek, trimmed, washed and thinly sliced
½ cup beef stock
1/3 cup seasoned flour
1 ½ tablespoons olive oil
½ cup light cream
½ cup fresh sage leaves

Recipe Instructions

Prepare the pork.
Dust the pork in the flour and shake off the excess. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large frying pan and fry the pork steaks for 1 – 2 minutes on each side. Remove from the pan and place on a plate. Cover and keep warm.

Cook the vegetables.
Add the remaining oil to the frying pan and add the leeks. Cook for 3 minutes until soft stirring frequently. Add the stock and cook for another 2 minutes then reduce the heat to low. Add the cream and sage, season with salt and pepper and stir to combine.

To finish.
Return the pork to the frying pan and cook for a few minutes until heated through. Serve with steamed vegetables.
